100 Best Credit Cards - Low Interest Credit Card Offers
Credit Card Articles

Small business credit cards are specifically designed to meet the special needs of busineses, from small business-sized start-ups to corporations. These credit cards offer a variety of benefits, ranging from unique business services, discounts, or incentives to business-sized lines of credit and more advantageous credit terms.

The Benefits of Small Business Credit Cards
Some of the most common benefits offered by small business credit cards include: no annual fees, generous credit limits (some even offer no pre-set spending limit), low APRs, personalized business cards and checks, free additional cards for employees, insurance protection for business travel and rental cars, special discounts for business merchandise and services, and other benefits specific to the needs of businesses. Small business credit cards are issued based on the financial strength and legitimacy of the business. They'll probably also look at your personal credit, so be prepared to prove that you deserve the card issuer's trust!

Before you apply - things to consider...

  • Small business credit cards may charge an annual fee or higher interest rate in exchange for superior business benefits. Consider carefully whether the added expense is worth what you'll gain in rewards, perks or services.
  • Introductory rates on small business credit cards are short-term offers that will last anywhere from a couple of months to a full year. Introductory rates may apply only to new purchases, balance transfers, or if you're lucky, both. Be sure to take note of any special conditions or fees that may apply to these promotional rates. Also, be aware that the long-term rates shown generally apply only to new purchases; interest rates for balance transfers and cash advances may vary.
  • Find out whether the APR is variable or fixed for the small business credit card. The majority of small business credit cards have variable rates, which means the rate may fluctuate. Fixed-rates may also rise when interest rates climb, but the changes will not occur regularly and require at least 15 days notice from the small business credit card issuer.
  • Be aware of annual fees, balance transfer fees, foreign transaction fees, over-the-limit fees, late payment fees, and the myriad of other fees that may apply. Check with your issuer and carefully read the fine print of the offer to learn these numbers and avoid any unpleasant surprises with your small business credit card!
